IMPLOSION
The light in his infinite extent and existence opens paths to discovering our own intimidated, our very existence, as we are.
About 4 years ago I decided to recontruct many of the memories that I had of my room in my childhood and adolescence. Many of those memories have been images described by a solitary space and some furniture inherited by my family, which together create specific atmospheres, emotionally reconstruct what were some of those instant lived in that place. In the process project creation, those images led me to create a staging photographed, where a model built on that room, was hung in the middle of it, after have been unoccupied.
That model was built considering some replicas of moments occurring in this space through furniture that had been inhabiting that place. This product was installed within unoccupied room, which represents a time instant updated at the time of camera shooting. by means of scale systems and lighting designed for staging, that space overlapped to the model, due to the physical principle of the implosive, due to the physical principle of the implosive, where all the virtual images of my room, present within my visual memory, enter through what reworked to take over the physical-factual.
The installation presented to the public, confronted the model shows the photographic image and is inserted into the space designed and built for this project. By this I allow to the viewer to enter into that world built, creating contextually in him the idea of anomaly on the space photographed. This idea is produced by the elements present within the installation and the model – the scale, the time and the light – and that respond to suspicions of a cozy and intimate place. With that, the viewer has the appropriate means to question and to appropriate those deferred spaces of the multiple layers present in the development of each of the objects.
